Wieder auf Achse / On the road again

Gestern ging es wieder von Berlin in die Zollernalb. Der G war laaaange beim Dieseldoktor, aber das hat sich gelohnt wir waren in 8h da. Das ganze hat auch schon mal 10h gedauert.
Yesterday we were on our tour from Berlin to the Zollernalb. My G has spent a looong time at the 'Diesel doctor' but it paid off, because our trip last 'only' 8 h. When I did it the first time I had needed 10 h.

Aber bevor es überhaupt los ging gab es noch eine kleine Abenteuer Einlage, oder besser die besonders typische Einlage von mir. Ich bin immer wieder selbst erstaunt, wenn ich mir meine täglichen Missgeschicke so vor Augen rufe. Ich selber halte mich einfach nicht für ungeschickt, aber die Tatsachen sprechen einfach gegen mich. So auch gestern morgen, als ich versuchte das am Hänger befindliche Schloss zu öffnen. Es war kurz nach sechs Uhr, ich war sehr optimistisch, weil so früh schon unterwegs. Und dann ging das Schloss nicht auf. Schön ruhig bleiben, die Verkäuferin sagte dir es ist ein empfindliches Schloss. Ich also hin und her, ich hab's eh nicht so mit Schlüsseln und Schlössern. Irgendwie können meine Finger sich nicht merken wie rum etwas auf oder zu geht und alle Schlüssel sehen doch mehr oder weniger gleich aus. Nach langem probieren und alle Schlüssel aus dem Handschuhfach holen ... habe ich den Schlüsseldienst gerufen. Das Schloss wurde aufgebohrt und es war ganz schön teuer und um 8.45 Uhr war ich auf der Strasse. Alexander meinte noch ich solle doch morgen fahren, aber ich hatte um 5 Uhr morgens schon meine Krise, weil ich in Berlin bleiben wollte und dachte wenn ich jetzt nicht fahre, dann fahre ich nie.
Before I even started I had a special adventure stunt, or better to say a typical stunt from me. Again and again I'm amazed when I look at my list of daily misfortunes. For myself I don't think that I'm a clumsy person, but the facts do not speak for me. Also yesterday morning when I tried to open the lock at the trailer. It was short after 6 o'clock in the morning and I was very optimistic to be early on the road. But I couldn't open the lock. The saleswoman told me that it is a sensitive lock, so I was careful but nothing helped. Honestly I have my problems with keys and locks. I can't remember in which way I have to turn and keys are looking all the same more or less. I tried all keys I could find in the glove box, but nothing helped. Than I called the lockout service. The lock was destroyed and it was very expensive. At 8.45 o'clock I was finally on my way. Alexander asked if I want to drive the next day, but I had my own crisis at 5 o'clock in the morning, because I don't wanted to leave Berlin and I thought if I don't drive now I will just stay in Berlin.

Die Strassen um unser Dorf herum werden aufwendig und langfristig repariert, daher habe ich den Hänger zum Ausladen vor dem Haus geparkt. Vorteil ist die Strasse ist keine Durchgangsstrasse mehr, also kaum Verkehr. Und der Hänger steht eh seit einiger Zeit schon im Garten. Wir sind dann danach zum Stall hoch gelaufen und mein Gefühl war, dass war gar nicht so schlecht nach der langen Fahrt. Alle konnten die Glieder recken und strecken.
Because the roads which leads to the barn are in repair I drove in front of our house to unload my Ponys. The advantage is that we have very few traffic. Also I have parked the trailer in our garden since a while, so it made sense. After unloading we walked to our paddock and I had the feeling that this was quit a good idea. We all could stretch out our legs.

Fazit: Dank der Bilder von Alexander kann ich sehen das es meinen Ponys gut geht in dem Hänger und auch als ich heute morgen kam, war alles ok. Keiner hinkt oder hat Durchfall. Alles ganz normal. Wir sind zur Begrüßung der Gegend unser Joggingrunde gelaufen. Moritz durfte frei laufen und überholte uns zweimal im Renngalopp trotz gefrorenem Boden. Da tut also wirklich nix weh! Danach gings auf die Wiese und ja das ist wirklich Ponyparadies. Aber auch Berlin hat seine Vorteile und dieses spezielle Paradies hat ja nun auch sein Ende, die Kündigung steht. Und auch das hat sein Gutes, ich bin mir sicher!
Thanks to the picture Alexander made I can see that my Ponys are fine in the trailer. Also when I arrived in the morning, it was all like ever. No one hobbled or had the runs. For saying Hello to te region I did our very normal jogging tour. Moritz was allowed to run free and overtook us twice in a very fast speed. The ground is frozen so there is really no trace of pain in the legs. After that I put them on their huge meadow and yes that's PonyParadies. But Berlin has it's advantages and this particular paradise comes to an end, the cancellation stands. But I'm sure: 'Every cloud has a silver lining'!
