Der schöne Pepe / The beautiful Pepe

Da ich geschäftlich wieder nach Stuttgart musste und ca. 10 Tage eingeplant hatte, hatte ich mich entschlossen Pepe mitzunehmen. Heute ist unser letzter Tag und im Nachhinein war es eine ziemlich gute Idee.

I had to go to Stuttgart for a business trip. Because it would be around 10 days I decided to take Pepe with me. Today is our last day and looking backwards it was a pretty good idea.

Es ist warm und mein Fenster steht immer offen, im Schlaf höre ich ihn manchmal schnauben und kleine Hufe die sich bewegen. Es ist ein Traum!

Pepe selber ist entspannt, ich wusste ja das er gut alleine sein kann, aber so gut! 

Morgens und abends gehe ich an der Eyach mit ihm grasen. Ich habe Buch und Strickzeug dabei ... 

It's warm outside and my window is always open. During my sleep I can hear him snorting and little hooves walking. It is a dream!

Pepe is very relaxed. I knew that he has no trouble with being alone, but that it is so easy for him is also new for me. In the morning and in the evening I go grazing close to the small river. For me I take a book and knitting ... 

Da ich für ca. 1 h relativ ruhig bin habe ich so einiges erlebt:

Because I very calm for almost an hour I could experience some strange things:

Ich sass direkt am Ufer der Eyach und hörte ein leises Platschen. Ich schaute auf und da schwamm eine Maus durch die Eyach. Sie hat sich am Baum gegenüber fallen gelassen und schwamm durch die Eyach ans andere Ufer. Ich war schon etwas sprachlos. Dann raschelte es gegenüber und irgendetwas ganz scheues in schwarz und weiß konnte ich kurz sehen. Etwas später schwamm eine kleine Schlange durch den Fluss, ich konnte nur den schlanken Kopf sehen. 

Ich bin dann mit Pepe am Ufer weiter spaziert und traf einen Graureiher.

I was sitting directly at the riverside and heard a soft splash. When I looked up I saw a mouse swimming through the Eyach. She fell from the tree opposite and swam to the other side. I was kind of speechless. I heard some rustling on the other side, but could only see something black and white and very shy. A short time later a small snake was crossing the river, I could only see the slender head above the water.

I walked along the riverside with Pepe and there we meet a grey heron.

Gestern machten wir eine richtig große Wanderung, knapp 20 km. Diese Runde bin ich nicht oft gegangen, aber in den letzten 11 Jahren doch etliche Male. Die Landschaft ist schön und so ganz anders als Berlin. Besser oder schlechter? Anders!

Yesterday we went for a hike, bigger one around 20 km. I walked this trip some times in the last 11 years and the landscape is quite different from Berlin. Better or worse? Different!

Ich weiss zwar nicht warum, aber mir sind viele Radfahrer begegnet, gefühlt mehr als ich jemals in 3 Jahren Zollernalb gesehen habe. Und alle hatten einen Kommentar, 'Schau mal die geht mit Ihrem Pony spazieren', 'Oh, wie süss', 'Ein Pony, ein Pony'. Ich war genervt und fühlte mich wie jemand aus dem Kuriositätenkabinett ...

I don't know why but I meet a lot of cyclist. More than I have met in 3 years Zollernalb all together. And all had something to say: 'Look she goes for a walk with her Pony', Oh, how cute', 'A Pony, a Pony'. I was bugged and felt as if I came out of a cabinet of curiosities. 

Unsere Nachbarn gegenüber haben gerade Besuch von den Enkeln, drei Mädchen und daher kommt auch der Titel. Für sie ist es 'Der schöne Pepe'.

Our neighbors have vistors. There grandchilds, three girls and there comes the title for this Post. For them it is 'The beautiful Pepe'.

Heute morgen wurde ich das erste mal in meinem Leben von (m)einem Pony geweckt. Er wieherte kurz, wahrscheinlich weil das Heunetz leer war. Noch schlaftrunken ging es kurze Zeit später an die Eyach und dort entstand dieses Bild.

This morning is was the first time in my life awake by my/a pony. He was whining short and softly, I think because the hay net was empty. Still drowsy I went to the Eyach for grazing and there I made this picture.

Morgen geht es zurück nach Berlin. Die verschiedenen Welten haben Ihren Reiz und die Zollernalb wird attraktiver wenn ich Pepe dabei haben kann. Aber mehr als 2 Wochen muss nicht sein ...

Tomorrow we are traveling back to Berlin. The different worlds have their charm. The Zollernalb is more attractive if I can have Pepe with me. But more than 2 weeks does not have to ...
